The Richard Ward salon’s client list reads like a who’s who of Britain’s best-known celebrities and members of the royal family. Mario Charalambous joined the team at Harrods Hair & Beauty Salon in 1989 as their youngest stylist recruit and, after a working sabbatical in Australia, Mario returned to work at the Richard Ward inaugural salon in 1994, being promoted to technical director in 2001.
Passionate about his department, Mario is both forward thinking and motivated to lead the way in colour and technical innovations within the salon, while his encyclopaedic technical knowledge and reputation has ensured his ongoing collaboration with L’Oreal on New Product Development and Education.
Pixie Geldof
Renowned in the trade as one of the most respected colourists in the UK and indeed globally – he was noted as one of the top five colour technicians in London by The Times newspaper – Mario’s particular areas of expertise include classic and contemporary styling, colour correction and balayage.
Such is Mario’s reputation that is he a favourite among the A-list crowd with his client list ranging from Pixie Geldof to model Poppy Delevingne and the British royal family.
