Call it the Queen B effect.
We’ve said it before: every time Beyonce posts to Instagram is a little blessing. For one Egyptian brand, though, these photos must have been particularly exciting. The 20-time Grammy winner has worn a bag from Okhtein, a label founded by Cairo sisters Aya and Mounaz Abdel Raouf.
The small orange cross-body bag (which Bey styled around her waist) retailed for US$530 (Dhs1,940), but is now showing as out of stock on the Okhtein website.

Here’s the bag in question:
How good is that colour? Very good, is the answer. It’s very good. The hardware is also extremely cool. It’s not hard to see why Team Beyonce were drawn to the design.
We’re not surprised the bag has sold out. It tends to happen when a star of her stature draws people’s attention to a cool designer. The women behind Okhtein were thrilled, to say the least.
“Thank you lord, we are super thankful. Hard work, sweat and tears always pays off. Queen B wearing Okhtein!” wrote Mounaz on Facebook alongside a series of pictures of Beyonce with the bag.
Back in August, Beyonce wore a green velvet robe from Dubai label Bouguessa, which is helmed by French-Algerian designer Faiza Bouguessa.
Here it is in action on Instagram. You’ll notice that’s one of the best-ever Prince songs providing the backing track:
Outstanding. We’ll keep you up to date with Beyonce’s major wardrobe developments, we promise.
