Yes, hands-free shopping is now a thing at Mall of the Emirates.
If you’ve ever felt ready for a nap after lugging your bags back on the metro, help is now at hand – quite literally.
Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates has just introduced a new hands-free shopping service which means your goodies can be delivered to your door with no hassle.
Customers can either drop off their bags at a collection desk and pick them up later (say, after a movie trip) or organise for them to be delivered later.

The service is run by shipping company Fetchr, and is available exclusively at MoE.
“At Mall of the Emirates we continuously adopt unique and innovative services that increases customer convenience and transforms the way people shop. Hands Free Shopping revolutionises the traditional shopping journey and is aligned with our vision to create great moments for everyone, everyday,” said the mall’s director, Hussain Moosa.
So, how does it work?
Well, there are collection points dotted around the mall – namely on the ground floor at gates A, C and D – where you can drop off your bags. They’ll be sealed up so you don’t have to worry about tampering, and storing them at the desk to pick up later is completely free.
If you want to schedule home delivery, you can do it through the Fetchr app, the Mall of the Emirates app, or by giving 04 801 8188 a ring at least 20 minutes before leaving the mall.
The rates depend on the address your bags are going to and the date (you can arrange for same-day or next-day delivery).

The service has actually been trialled in the mall since December, but it’s just become a permanent fixture at the 630-store and 100-restaurant space.
So for those struggling with prams or picking up an entire new-season wardrobe in one day, this might be a bit of a shopping saviour…
