And all for under Dhs800…
It’s our job to scour the malls for the best fashion finds on a daily basis – aren’t we lucky?
This week we’ve noticed a rise in modest fashion pieces on the high street – yes, midriff-bearing knits might be trending on Instagram, but in the real world we appreciate the need to dress more appropriately, especially in the UAE.
So on that note, we’ve collated the five best decorous pieces that have just hit stores this month.

The 10 Looks You’ve Got To See From Zuhair Murad’s Paris Show
From a muted aqua palette over at Mango to demure denim at Cos and seemly larger-than-life shirting over at Uterqüe, we’ve got your modest wardrobe sorted all for under Dhs900 – you can thank us later.
Mango
We can’t get enough of Mango’s Committed collection, made up of recycled, environmentally-friendly and organic fabrics all sustainably sourced. Our top pick is this minimal maxi dress (Dhs349) complete with long sleeves – we dig the slippers (Dhs399) too.
Zara
As we start to shed the layers as we move into the warmer months, this transitional long waistcoat (Dhs249) will come in to play. Pair with a cotton long sleeve t-shirt to keep cool yet covered.
Cos
The oversized trend has never been as big (pun intended) in fashion than it is right now. And when it comes to unfitted, laid-back luxe, Cos it our go-to store. Case in point: this incredibly chic kimono-inspired denim two-piece (jacket Dhs695, trousers Dhs450).
Whistles
PJs to office? Yes please – louche loungewear is one trend we hope isn’t going anywhere fast. Instead of silk, Whistles has created the perfect pyjama striped suit in cool linen. The top’s Dhs499 and the trousers are Dhs769.
Uterqüe
On the higher end of the high street, Uterqüe nods to the white shirt trend that has taken over our wardrobes with this beautifully cut trapeze-style blouse (Dhs445). Top tip: Button up to the top and layer over sports-luxe trousers for extra fashion points.
