Clear your schedule, because something special is taking place in the sky tonight.
If you’re wondering what that means, it’s that the moon will appear to be 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than a regular moon.
It’ll actually be the most spectacular the moon has looked since 1948, and according to website Moon Giant, it will appear at its fullest in the UAE at 5.52pm.

Mushrif Park
If you don’t mind a bit of a trip, the Dubai Astronomy Group will be hosting an event in Mushrif Park from 7pm to 10pm. The park sits a little bit further out from the city to dodge light pollution, and the Dubai Astronomy group are sure to have telescopes that you can use to steal a close-up peek.
Al Qudra Lakes
Far out from the city and thus any light pollution, the lakes have long been a favourite for stargazers. Aside from the supermoon (which will be quite visible regardless of light pollution), being out in nature allows you to see the stars that surround it.

There are few observatories in the world as high as At The Top in the Burj Khalifa. From roughly 800 metres above the city, you’ll be granted unparalleled views of not only the city, but the moon hanging above it. The attraction closes at 12am, with the last entry at 11pm.
