Love splashing out on a new wardrobe, but your bank balance doesn’t seem to agree? Yeah, we’ve all been there.
Dubai is a city jam-packed with temptation, but luckily the city’s latest shopping destination should be a little friendlier to your wallet.
Outlet Village touts itself as Dubai’s first luxury discount mall, and the sprawling Italian-style development in Jebel Ali, next to the upcoming mega theme park Dubai Parks and Resorts, opened its doors over the weekend.
And even if you’re not in the market for a new dress or handbag, it’s worth a visit just to check out the impressive Tuscan-inspired architecture.

Its design was inspired by San Gimignano, an Italian hilltop town declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1990, making Outlet Village look a world away from every other Dubai mall.
Shoppers can wander around Gothic-style towers, arched walkways, bridges, stone foundations, courtyards and even throw a coin in a stone wishing well.
But what about the shops?
Ah yes, the most important part. Outlet Village is home to more than 100 brands (think mid to high-end), plus three department stores and a range of F&B options.
You’ll find womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, sportswear and homewares, all with substantial savings on their price tags year-round.
Spread across 25,000 square metres of retail space, brands that have set up shop include French favourites Maje and Sandro, Coach, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, Carolina Herrera, Hugo Boss, Nike, The Kooples, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Multi-brand department stores, such as Galeries Lafayette and Etoile, will stock a range of luxury designers including Fendi, Givenchy, Lanvin, Kenzo, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Giuseppe Zanotti and much, much more.
Now the collections will mostly be at least one season behind (hence the discounts) but hey, great style doesn’t date – think of this as the perfect place to pick up quality basics, such as timeless workwear, well-cut suits and sleek leather accessories.

Credit cards, prepare for a battering.
(Because if it’s discounted, it doesn’t count…right?).
