A ski chalet in the desert sounds like a oxymoron, right? However, in Dubai anything is possible.
The Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has undergone an impressive Dhs368 million renovation, including 15 luxuriously appointed and themed Aspen Ski Chalets overlooking Ski Dubai and five themed Aspen Pool Chalets connected directly to the hotel infinity pool.

The launch of Aspen Chalets coincides with the 10 year anniversary of the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates and marks the completion of its refurbishment.

Created as an exclusive hotel within a hotel, the 15 Aspen Ski Chalets offer spectacular views of Ski Dubai and boast all the comforts of a ski lodge – even though we’re in the middle of a desert. Interior-wise, the chalets are decked out in a rich colour palette of dark brown and ivory white. Adding an authentic alpine design, each chalet has a stone faux fireplace.
The master bedroom
In contrast the five Aspen Pool Chalets reflect flowing water and enclosed terraces that lead directly to the pool, celebrate summer with neutral colours and textures inspired by the Florida Keys.

Prices for the three-bedroom chalet average at Dhs25,000 a night. What does that include? Exclusive and dedicated butler service, airport meet-and-greets for international travellers and transfer in a luxury car.
The living room
There are a variety of chalet categories, including one, two, three bedroom or duplex Aspen Ski Chalets, or one bedroom Aspen Pool Chalets. The rooms, all come with access to the exclusive Executive Lounge, feature spacious marble bathrooms and luxurious Hermès amenities. Tech-wise there’s a state-of-the-art Bose sound system, iPads and large LED TVs.

A host of dining options are available for Aspen Chalets guests. These include hot chocolate and marshmallows – naturally – chocolate-dipped berries, fruit meringues and jellies. A special In-Room Dining menu is available 24 hours a day, and the Executive Chef can cater to private dining requests, including full butler and table service.
