Anthony Kiedis, lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers band has been revealed as the latest face for Marc Jacobs’ new campaign.
The 52-year-old American singer has turned model for the first time in his career, joining fellow celebrity ambassadors Cher and Willow Smith as a model for Marc Jacobs’ autumn 2015 campaign.
Anthony Kiedis, who is a regular front rower at Marc Jacobs’ fashion shows will be seen on the billboards across the globe with his seven-year-old son, Everly Bear.
Marc Jacobs announced the news on Instagram, posting the adorable snap of the father-son duo. Marc wrote: “Red Hot Chili Pepper, lead singer, co-songwriter, great father! Here is Anthony Kiedis and his son Everly Bear. Thanks guys for joining us in our fall campaign. You’re both hot and cool as can be!! @chilipeppers.”
Modelling the new season wardrobe, well nearly, Kiedis, in true rock star mode, poses shirtless in a red pattern blazer while his son sits barefoot on his lap wearing a red and blue baseball cap over his long, blonde hair along with an olive colour shirt worn over black trousers. In contrast to the image of Willow Smith and Cher, where the stars model what would be considered more to be evening attire, the singer and Everly are dressed more casually.
The varying age gaps and personalities between all the faces are what make this campaign most exciting, but then we wouldn’t expect anything less from Marc Jacobs who is renowned for doing things differently – remember when he auditioned for models via social media?
This being Anthony first brand endorsement shows the great sense of admiration he has for Marc Jacobs adding his son to the campaign as well making him an instant star.
