It’s girl power at its best – model of the moment Cara Delevingne is joining forces with Queen Bey to create music magic.
Cara Delevingne, 22, and Beyonce, 33, first hinted about a music collaboration when they both (separately) posted similar images of their hands on what looked like the same studio equipment. Posting no comments with the images, the ladies fast set off the rumour mill.
However, the rumours were seemingly put to rest yesterday when the British model was spotted heading into a LA recording studio. Despite the usually eccentric beauty looking incredibly coy during her appointment, the music collaboration is smart move by both ladies who met back in 2014 during a Topshop dinner…
The ever astute Beyonce continues to stay relevant – remember when she paired up with Lady Gaga? It was chart, and career, gold – while Cara gets the credentials she has always craved, to be recognised in the entertainment industry.
That said it’s not Cara’s first foray into the music business, the It girl previously showcased her vocal skills singing with Phrarrell Williams for a Chanel campaign. The blonde star has also collaborated with Will Heard in the song Sonnentanz and even sang a ditty for Love magazine.
Cara must be the busiest model in the world at the moment. As well as working the fashion weeks and forging a career in the music industry, she has also blagged a role in a new film about alleged American murderer Amanda Knox. The Face of an Angel is based on the real-life murder trial of Amanda.
The film is set in Italy, where the murder of Meredith Kercher took place in 2007. Amanda, who was Meredith’s housemate, was accused of the crime along with her then boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. In the film Cara plays a British student called Melanie, who befriends a crew of journalists and filmmakers as they cover the appeal of a murder conviction.
With critics already praising Cara for her thespian skills it seems the supermodel’s duet with Beyonce could be the next step she needs in order to dominate all sides of the entertainment industry… she’s more than a pretty face.
