What: Valentine’s Day Package, includes a massage, complimentary cake and access to a private pool
Where: The Spa at the Address Dubai Mall is smack bang in the middle of, you guessed it, The Dubai Mall. But don’t let this deter you. Upon entering you’ll find the entire spa floor is cocooned with white shutters, hiding away the hustle and bustle of the city.
The low down: The treatment on the menu is a Balinese massage, a series of gentle stretching of limbs, long strokes, skin rolling and essential oils. Although we both admitted to falling asleep during the treatment, we left feeling rejuvenated and energised rather than sleepy and sluggish, which can often be the case after a massage. The pressure is as you wish and the therapists focus on key areas that you specify so you can tailor your treatment individually.
After the treatment, we were taken off to the relaxation area to enjoy tea and pistachio stuffed dates, unfortunately the male and female areas were separate.
The result: A massage in a rose strewn treatment room, two excellent therapists and a heart-shaped cake equals one happy, relaxed couple. Not forgetting the beckoning jewellery boutiques downstairs at the mall, well it is Valentine’s Day after all…
Unfortunately we were not invited to the private pool that was advertised as part of the package, so make sure to ask post-treatment.
