Just what on earth is going on in Tinseltown?The rumour mill is going crazy ever since In Touch magazine ran a story with the headline Tom & Lindsay: It’s On!. According to the gossip magazine, Tom Cruise, 52, has been spending a lot of time with actress Lindsay Lohan, 28, even alleging the pair have been talking about marriage – in what context, however, wasn’t revealed.
In Touch claims Lohan is “head over heels” for her “old crush” and US sources also claim she believes the Mission Impossible star is “the sexiest man alive,” and that he could help her “turn her life around”.
“Lindsay is absolutely buzzing. S he’s always thought the world of Tom,” a source apparently said. “Lindsay has been craving the security and sophistication that comes with dating an older man, so she couldn’t believe her luck when she ran into her old crush [in London]. She’s head over heels.”
The tabloids have been desperate to link a woman – seemingly any woman – to Tom Cruise ever since his divorce in 2012 to Dawson’s Creek beauty Katie Holmes, with whom he has an eight-year-old daughter, Suri.
The last woman linked to Cruise was Sandra Bullock with so-called sources saying friends “hoped” it would be serious. Before that he was linked to Mad Men star Elizabeth Moss.
Lindsay Lohan’s rep has come forward denying a blossoming romance, insisting the tabloid cover story was “wrong and laughable.”
Meanwhile, a more believable source joked: “Never has one thing been so not true. This may be the most insanely funny lie ever told. Tom is not going to date Lindsay Lohan. He’d be friendly to her in her company but dating is far-fetched, she would be lucky to even be in a film with him. The closest they will ever be together is in the same room somewhere but that is it.”
So, are Lindsay Lohan dating Tom Cruise? We sincerely doubt it.
