The new season doesn’t have to mean new wardrobe. I believe you can still make a sartorial statement without buying the latest threads – it just takes some clever styling.
One way to transition into autumn/winter smoothly is with monochrome. Pull out light summer silks in black and white and instead of pairing with sliders, anchor the loose-fit look with S/S14’s hit shoe, the chunky leather mule.
In my eyes, bright is always right and it seems the feeling is mutual on the runways as vibrant blasts of colour covered many of the shows. Make a nod to the trend and pair your minimal look with a brighter than bright summer tote.
