Italian beauty Marcia Pellegrinelli has married Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti, paying tribute to her musical groom with a quirky wedding dress with a musical notes motif.
Marcia wore a custom-made gown by Valentino with a long skirt featuring the sheet music for the couple’s love song for their fairytale wedding on Saturday in Moterotondo di Gavi, Italy at the Royal Palace of Milan. The beautiful bespoke couture dress, which bears a striking similarity to Katy Perry’s 2014 Grammy’s dress was designed by creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. Consisting of a tulle bustier and full-bodied skirt embellished with embroidered notes and lyrics of song Due mondi by Lucio Battisti, the gown was entirely handmade by a Valentino seamstress in Rome. Eros, also wearing Valentino, sported a tailored two-button suit in mohair blue wool.
The Italian fashion house posted a photo of Marica on their Twitter account maisonvalentino in the gown the day after the ceremony. “It makes sense,” read the caption. “When marrying @RamazzottiEros you wear a couture dress with your love song embroidered on it #newlywed.”
Another picture uploaded on the maisonvalentino Twitter account showed the couple after the ceremony in the Palace’s grounds. “A very proud Eros Ramazzotti stands beside his wife, Marica Pellegrinelli,” wrote Valentino. “Married yesterday both bride and groom wore custom made Valentino designed by Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli. #hautecouturelove ❤”
The pair tied the knot in front of 200 guests including their two-year-old daughter Raffaela Maria and Eros’ 16-year-old daughter Aurora Sophie from a previous marriage with Michelle Hunziker.
Marica, 25, has been with Eros, 51, since 2010. She began her modeling in career in Munich, and has since starred in Vogue, Vanity Fair and Sleek Magazine. Her dreams of becoming an actress came true in 2009 where she was cast in minor roles for two big international productions, Somewhere directed by Sophia Coppola and Barney’s Version directed by Richard J.Lewis.
