Monsters get your fingers at the ready as Lady Gaga has just announced her first ever show in Dubai. A one off Middle Eastern concert before commencing the European leg during her worldwide tour, it has been announced that on September 10, 2014, Meydan Racecourse will hold what is sure to be a spectacular event.

Lady Gaga’s artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball tour, which has already sold over 775,000 tickets, is supporting the multi-platinum and award-winning artist’s latest album ARTPOP, which has already debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The global tour, which last week opened in Ft. Lauderdale in America, will make its way through 35 cities and festivals within North America, before heading across the sea to Asia and then onto Australia before it finally makes a pit stop in Dubai before Europe.

Known for her outrageous outfits and performances, fans have already been treated to plenty of latex, tentacles, sequins and a whole lot more on the tour so far. And, judging by her past tours – the Born This Way Ball and the Monster Ball, which had a whopping 201 performances worldwide – this one is said to be as showstopping and, in true Gaga form,  controversial. Always one for going over the top, the theme for The ARTPOP Ball includes a hybrid of all her favourite classic Disney films and 1990s raves.

Highlights of the tour are set to include some of her most popular songs including Paparazzi, Born This Way and Poker Face as well as her latest hits Artpop, G.U.Y. and Applause. Speculation however has already started in regards to how much the show will be edited for its Dubai performance. Gaga who in the past has been known for stepping over the line, with garish costumes and themes of a sensitive nature, will have to reign it in in order to adhere to the local customs and culture.

Tickets go on sale May 15, 2014 at ticketmaster.ae with prices starting from Dhs495 for general admission. VIP and VVIP tables and suites with hospitality start from Dhs2,000.
