Anyone who is active on Twitter and Instagram will have seen #EWCover trending across social media. The hashtag was a reference to what will be our iconic May cover, which features the UAE’s top 12 women of style.
The locally shot, gatefold cover is the first of it’s kind in the region and Group Editor Sophia Serin couldn’t be more proud. She said: “My mission with Emirates Woman magazine has always been to highlight the achievements of women living and working in the UAE. The May issue is dedicated to the UAE so it only felt natural to put our very own local stars on the cover. In the 33 years of Emirates Woman being on the newsstands in the Gulf, a local cover of this magnitude has never been shot and I am ecstatic about the result. I now look forward to the June issue and to unveiling another first for Emirates Woman.”
From beauty queens to philanthropists, entrepreneurs and designers, the cover stars, who all live in the UAE, are as inspiring as they are stylish. Introducing the stars: Jelena Jakovljevic Bin Drai, Aishwarya Ajit, Zeina Abou Chaaban, Khulood Thani, Alamira Noor Bani Hashim, Buthaina Al Mazrui, Rosemin Manji, Zeina Abdalla, Ayesha Depala, Alanoud Badr, Diala Makki and Jessica Kahawaty.
