As we’re experiencing the first few days of peak summer, the country has been finding new ways to keep its josh running. This weekend, from a night swim on the Ras Al Khaimah coastline to an architecture photography walk through one of Dubai’s most otherworldly buildings, there is enough happening across the UAE to make staying put feel like the better choice. Here’s where to be between July 3 and July 5.

For those who prefer their summer evenings unhurried, Bar du Port’s Moonlight Swim offers nightly pool access from 7PM against the backdrop of Hayat Island’s coastline. The AED 150 entry is fully redeemable on food and drinks, which means a juicy steak baguette, creamy burrata with truffle, and a handcrafted cocktail effectively pay for the experience. Riviera-inspired, RAK-set, and the kind of evening that earns its own name.

Chef Reif Othman, the Singaporean chef behind REIF Japanese Kushiyaki, Tero, and SIO Ramen House, has opened his first bakery and it reads like a menu you circle twice before ordering. The Shio Pan arrives glossy and warm from the oven. The Pandan Kaya Jam Doughnut lands somewhere between childhood and curiosity. The Vanilla Milk Soft Serve Croissant Cone is exactly what it sounds like and better than you’d expect.
