Doha’s leading fashion, design, and tech hub, M7, is redefining what it means to go global.

Spearheaded by Qatar Museums under the leadership of its Chairperson, Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, M7 has unveiled The Global Edit, which is a pioneering initiative designed to propel designers from Qatar and beyond into the international fashion conversation. It was born to empower designers with the mentorship, visibility, and global access needed to shape the future of fashion.

Unlike conventional accelerator programmes, this takes a tailored approach, offering designers strategic guidance, mentorship, and access to global markets, from the ateliers of Paris to the runways of Milan. Each brand is carefully selected for its creativity, craftsmanship, and commitment to conscious design, reflecting M7’s mission to nurture innovation with purpose.

In its debut edition, three distinct labels take center stage, each capturing the spirit of modern design through sustainability, storytelling, and cultural fusion. Bringing key brands to this one-of-a-kind platform for fashion designers, the programme highlighted the following designers based in Qatar.

Tash & Ley

Tasha and Ley turn everyday fashion into wearable art. Founded by Tasha Saradar and Lea Al Chaa, the label celebrates individuality through vibrant silk scarves, each piece an invitation to express freedom and curiosity, symbolized by the hummingbird. Beyond their signature prints, the brand champions sustainability by transforming leftover fabrics into statement accessories, merging artistry with environmental consciousness.

Gigeez

Gigeez, born in Doha and grown through M7 Studio7 before branching out to Paris, reimagines the kaftan through a multicultural lens. Drawing from Arab, Indian, and Japanese heritage, the label creates effortless silhouettes for the modern traveler. Every piece, handcrafted by local artisans, embodies inclusivity, celebrating women of all shapes and stories through minimal-waste design.

Tagreed Omar

Tagreed Omer Couture elevates sustainability to haute couture status. Blending AI-assisted innovation with zero-waste craftsmanship, the brand’s founder, Tagreed Omer, crafts timeless pieces that marry tradition and technology. Already stocked at prestigious retailers like Printemps and 51 East, her label stands as proof that sustainability and luxury can coexist seamlessly.

Born as a launchpad for the region’s design talent, this platform works as a base for the region’s design talent to influence global fashion narratives. As these brands step onto the world stage, they carry with them a message of conscious creativity and cultural pride, one that feels distinctly, and powerfully, Qatari.
