This September, Dubai plays host to one of fashion’s most celebrated names as Tarun Tahiliani, the legendary couturier, brings his world-renowned creations to the city.
Emirates Woman had the opportunity to interview the designer, for his extraordinary creations.
“I am inspired by the way Indians drape fabric, by colour, by textile, by classical structure whether it’s in Greece or Rome and and life itself inspires me,” he said. “Fabric, speaks to you in its own way.”
As a pioneer in Indian fashion, Tahiliani was the first designer from the region to showcase at Milan Fashion Week, later captivating audiences in Paris, London, New York, and Tokyo. His work is defined by a marriage of tradition and innovation, luxurious embroidery, ethereal draping, and meticulous craftsmanship, elements that have cemented his reputation for more than two decades.

Being in the UAE, Tahilani loves visiting The Arts Club in Dubai. He mentioned that he hadn’t seen anything as beautiful of as The Arts Club in any part of the world.
“They really go the limit to find authentic non-blingy pieces that make that name The Arts Club worthy,” he said. “It’s the past, the present, the contemporary art, the carpet and the contemporary stone, all make the interiors a must-visit for me time and time again.”
The Pop-Up
Timed perfectly ahead of the festive and bridal season, the Dubai showcase will feature a curated edit of couture, occasionwear, and contemporary ensembles, all hallmarks of Tahiliani’s distinctive design language. For brides-to-be and connoisseurs of refined luxury, this exclusive pop-up promises not only an opportunity to discover his artistry up close, but also to experience the evolution of a designer who continues to redefine modern Indian couture for a global stage.
This exclusive two-day pop-up offers an immerse experience to celebrate his legacy. This event is free and open to the public to shop and experience, without an RSVP required.
The exhibition is currently taking place at The Royal Suite, One&Only Royal Mirage, Jumeirah on September 11 and 12, from 10am to 7pm.
