Audemars Piguet unveils three highly creative timepieces dedicated to the Middle East.
These special editions were conceived in collaboration with loyal collectors from UAE, who were given the unique opportunity to give their creative input to the AP design teams during a “Create the Extraordinary” workshop held in Dubai in June 2022.
Audemars Piguet 41mm Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin
This sleek novelty combines titanium with palladium-based Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG), a first for this complication. Finished with a smoked effect, the smoked ivory dial is adorned with Hindu-Arabic numerals, white gold hands and rhodium subdials at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. Powered by the ultra-thin selfwinding movement, Calibre 5133, this reference blends aesthetic refinement with state-of-the-art technology.
Audemars Piguet 41mm Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked
This special edition novelty features a case and bracelet entirely crafted in white ceramic, equipped with a double balance wheel mechanism, patented by Audemars Piguet in 2016. The blue aventurine inner bezel contrasts with the monochromatic look, while elegantly framing the rhodium-toned openworked movement. The dial features white gold hour-markers and blackened Royal Oak hands with luminescent material offering optimum visibility in the dark.
41mm Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon
This elegant timepiece combines black ceramic with a stainless steel case and grey rubber-coated strap for a sporty two-tone aesthetic. Crafted from meteorite, the one-of-a-kind dial features a stratified pattern with a stainless steel bezel, white gold hands, and a rhodium-toned pink-gold hour-markers to complete the sophisticated aesthetic. Calibre 2950, the first selfwinding movement pairing a flying tourbillon with a central rotor, is visible from the sapphire caseback along with the Swiss house’s trademark finishing techniques.
