Jaeger-LeCoultre, a centuries-old savoir-faire of technical ingenuity and passion merge with creativity and forward-thinking design in this artistic exploration by Abdalla Almulla.
Award-winning Emirati architect Abdalla Almulla of MULA studio, known for his practice focused on patterns and geometry presents “30 Sunsets”. The art piece crafted from oakwood reflects the colours of the passing sunsets during the holy month.
“30 Sunsets is a testament to this journey, drawing inspiration from the beauty of 30 days of Ramadan sunsets and the timeless elegance of the Golden Ratio. It serves as a visual representation of the intersection of geometry and tradition, with each of its 30 surfaces methodically painted to reflect the colours of a sunset during this sacred month. It is a profound honour to contribute to this collaboration, which pays homage to the art of timekeeping and the enduring legacy of Jaeger-LeCoultre and I look forward to witnessing this curated masterpiece come to life, resonating deeply with the soul of the observer,” shares Abdalla.
At the heart of this collaboration is the Golden Ratio, a mathematical principle that has been the driving creative force behind the design of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s iconic Reverso timepiece.
From March 20 to April 7, guests and watch enthusiasts are invited to immerse themselves in this exceptional art piece at Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Dubai Mall boutique.
