Fashion Editor Angela Beitz follows this season’s navy trend topped off with a headpiece from Vivienne Morgan Millinery
With the Starch Foundation, Ezra and Emperor 1688 shows ahead that evening, we kicked off our afternoon browsing the designer exhibition showcasing beautiful white dresses and gowns from each designer.

We then went onto the The Starch Foundation Show presentation, where we discovered four new labels that they are currently supporting.
We’ll definitely be keeping a watchful eye on Lebanese Hussein Bazaza, who previously worked as a Junior Designer for Elie Saab. His striking regal red numbers with gold brocade and embellishment hit all of the right notes for the up-coming party season.

Before we headed to the GisellaBLU show we headed down to the chic Fashion Café for quick recoup with a refreshing mocktail. The whole place was buzzing with bloggers, stylists, designers and fashion folk ready for the show.

The GisellaBLU show was fun, feminine and frivolous, with looks inspired by1940s icon Florence Broadhurst known for her bold clashing patterns.

Next on our list was Ezra, so we raced over to Hall 2 to take our seat on the front row. The FROW was jam packed with all the usual fashionistas, including Lina and Tala Samman and Mohammed Al Habtoor, plus a number of fellow designers showing their support.

EW’s Fashion Editor Angela was super impressed and reported back with a rave review:“The Ezra show took everyone’s breath away, so much so that he received a standing ovation.
“The OTT designer delivered his usual range of feminine silhouettes embellished with diamantes, Swarovski and different shaped mirrors. This was all offset by more Swarovski headpieces and lace masks that bought even more glamour and drama to the very well received show”
Ezra didn’t disappoint with bold colours and feminine silhouettes
With Ezra done, we hightailed it over to The Emperor 1688 show which was bright and interesting, and a welcome nod to The Great Gatsby.
