The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival has officially commenced and celebrities from the Arab world are making their way to France.
Cannes Film Festival is all about celebrating international cinema on a global platform, championing movies from every part of the world. Kickstarted on May 16, actors, producers, filmmakers, technicians, and people from the glamour world have already started making an appearance at the French Riviera.
The opening movie of the season was Jeanne du Barry directed by Maïwenn and the festival will close with Pixar’s Elemental directed by Peter Sohn.
Arab representation at Cannes has exponentially increased over the last couple of years. Not only are the films from the region making a mark, but a large number of celebrities from across the genres are also gracing the red carpet with their presence.
