The word is out! Dubai joins as the latest city to vie for global attention with other fashion city capitals.
Arab Fashion Council (AFC) and Dubai Design District (d3) partner to showcase emerging talent at Dubai Fashion Week. The official event evolves from the success of Arab Fashion Week and cements Dubai’s position as a global fashion capital – in line with Paris, Milan, London, and New York.
The two organizations aim not only to strengthen the city’s influence on the global creative stage but so as to provide a leg-up on international platforms and facilitate new business opportunities between brands, talents, and buyers. “Dubai has the vision, ambition, and innovation to elevate the impact and reach of creatives globally. Our evolving partnership with the Arab Fashion Council will strengthen our networks with international and regional partners and boost the industry’s contribution to the creative economy,” conveyed Khadija Al Bastaki, d3 Senior Vice President.
Jacob Abrian, CEO of the Arab Fashion Council said, “Our region’s fashion industry is entering a new chapter as we become increasingly active contributors to the global fashion narrative. Arab Fashion Council is proud to amplify this voice and partner with d3 and TECOM Group to launch Dubai Fashion Week, the official industry platform.”
This partnership was built upon the 7-year legacy and milestones of Arab Fashion Week including launching the first menswear fashion week in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, working with an array of prestigious international partners, including the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode to deliver new opportunities to exchange talent on both calendars, and appointing the region’s first curvy model on the runway for its diversity program.

Save the date
Dubai Fashion Week will take place from March 10 to 15, 2023, and will spotlight womenswear and menswear collections from established and emerging talents from the region.
Leading up to the event, the official calendar will enable industry insiders to activate their own program of runway shows, presentations, exhibitions, pop-ups, special events, and workshops in d3 and across Dubai.
