The who’s who in fashion descended upon Doha last night to attend the Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) awards.
Led by Honorary Chair of the FTA, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and Co-Chair Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the star-studded event took place at the National Museum of Qatar.
Both international and regional celebrities attended the prestigious gala, where a total of six designers from the Arab region were honoured in an array of different categories.

Sheikha Moza presented the prize for the Evening Wear category to Moroccan fashion designer, Artsi Ifrach. Meanwhile, Saudi designers Siham and Sarah Albinali took home the ready-to-wear award; Sudanese designer Eilaf Osman received the accessories award; Egypt’s Fatma Mostafa won the jewellery award; and the final prize of the evening went to Kazna Asker from Yemen who received the Franca Sozzani debut talent award.
During the awards, Sheikha Moza sat next to supermodel Bella Hadid. The pair were photographed together appearing to be deep in conversation.
As a nod to Arab fashion, the 26-year-old model stunned in a navy-blue silk gown by Alaia, the fashion house founded by Tunisian couturier Azzedine Alaia, who passed away in 2017.

Also in attendance was former model Halima Aden, Dubai-based Karen Wazen, model Tara Emad, beauty moguls Huda and Mona Kattan and more.
Top creative directors in the fashion space also touched down in Qatar to attend the prestigious awards including Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli and Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing.
Other regional celebrities who attended included Diala Makki, Yasmine Sabri and Balqees Fathi.
