A little over three months ago Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas became parents for the first time, welcoming a baby girl.
While the new parents announced the birth of their daughter, no other details were shared about the newborn.
However, the baby girl’s name has been revealed after TMZ reportedly obtained a copy of the birth certificate.
The couple has named their little one Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, with the first name of the baby girl paying tribute to Chopra’s Indian background.
The moniker also has a special meaning behind it and derives from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit. Malti roughly translates in English to ‘fragrant flower’ or ‘moonlight’.

The A-list couple are yet to officially confirm their daughter’s name and have largely been keeping a low profile since welcoming their baby girl.
Chopra and Jonas announced the birth of their first child via Instagram back in January, sharing a joint statement on Instagram.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” the statement read. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”
The pair wed just over three years ago in December 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. The couple tied the knot in a western ceremony officiated by Nick’s father Paul Kevin Jonas Sr and the next day the pair wed in a traditional Hindu ceremony.
