Manolo Blahnik is the ultimate status symbol in the shoe game. Instantly recognisable and celebrated globally, the designer has long enjoyed a loyal following of women who appreciate his fine craftsmanship, vintage flair and unique finishes – just ask Carrie Bradshaw.

But just like with any brand at this level, the minute his shoes land in-store and online they instantly sell out, so we guess it’s a good thing there is another platform we can add to our search list in pursue of Maysale mules.

For the first time, Blahnik is stepping into the world of NET-A-PORTER. The luxury e-commerce destination will showcase a selection of iconic designs such as the Hangisi
alongside new seasonal styles that all pay tribute to the past five decades of the brand’s existence.

“Their buying team has an incredible eye for what women really want to wear when it comes to luxury fashion and accessories, and I’m thrilled that we are finally able to work together,” Blahnik said in a statement.

His newest collection takes inspiration from various artists from the realms of design, photography, and film. He played with jewel-tone colours, romantic patterns and rich textures to bring a familiar eclectic touch to his silhouettes. For the Fombra shoe, Blahnik looked to distinctive imagery shot by the late photographer Peter Lindbergh with the new ankle chain accessory referencing the 90’s supermodel era.

“Signature classics will be showcased in a new, fresh way and their new seasonal styles are a true expression of the brand’s flawless craftsmanship and extensive creativity. We love the new Fombra style with chunky ankle chain and the Cluntius shearling knee-high boots – the perfect fall updates,” says Elizabeth von der Goltz, Global Buying Director, NET-A-PORTER.

Another worthy addition to your wardrobe is the Cluntius boots. Inspired from the costuming in an adaptation of Boris Pasternak’s novel Doctor Zhivago, these are part of a series of tall boots and shearling detailing.

Firmly on our new-season wish list are the circular-detailed Fanku booties that reference furniture designer Eileen Gray.

The collection is available to shop now on NET-A-PORTER.
