While many people’s plans have been put on hold amidst the coronavirus outbreak, Kuwaiti star Fouz Al Fahad didn’t let that stop her from marrying her fiancé.
There had been other plans in place, but given the current situation, the beauty influencer had to abandon them due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the 29-year-old opted for a low-key gathering with just close family and friends due to recent restrictions, marrying under Islamic law in Kuwait.
“We had a lot of plans prepared that we had to cancel because we have to abide by the country’s laws and, of course, we want everyone’s safety,” Al Fahad explained in a Snapchat video.
Posting on Instagram, Al Fahad posted an intimate photo with her new husband showing off her big diamond ring.
“17.03.2020 The day you made me the happiest woman in the world,” the newlywed captioned the photo taken during the Katb El-Kitab ceremony, which is the traditional Islamic part of the wedding.
For the intimate occasion, she wore a white Elie Saab jumpsuit with a V-shaped neckline, which also featured statement caped sleeves.
Al Fahad accessorised her bridal look wit an estimated Dhs2.7 million ($755,400) of Cartier jewellery reportedly given to her by her new husband. And, of course, she showed off her glistening diamond engagement ring along with her new wedding band.
The wedding may have come as a shock to some fans as very little is known about her new husband. However, that didn’t stop the well wishes from flooding in. Her wedding announcement post has almost 14,000 comments.
In order to keep her privacy, the videos and images the influencer shared hides her new husband’s face. But Al Fahad has been wearing her engagement ring since around April last year.
