Ding dong merrily on high
You better watch out. You better not cry. Better not pout. I’m telling you why. Souk Festive Market is coming to town and it’s bringing plenty of good cheer.
From next month, Madinat Jumeirah is once again going to be the epicentre of merry activities for the whole family. Kicking off on December 13 and running through until December 28, the themed German Market invites you to indulge your taste buds with a series of festive treats and seasonal beverages inspired by cuisines from all around the globe.
You can also marvel at the 36ft. interactive LED Christmas Tree, hear hits of the season played by the live band every evening or ride the Venetian carousel. Kids will enjoy a giant snowball zone, create their own gingerbread houses or experience a winter journey on the North Pole mini train. Santa himself will be making daily appearances so have your wish list handy.
The market will be open Sunday to Wednesday, 3pm till late, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas day which will be from midday until late. And Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12:00pm – late.
Christmas Tree Lighting will take place on December 11, hosted by radio DJ Kris Fade, with a high-octane elf show and an eight-person Christmas carol choir. From 6pm onwards.
