Great news!
Egyptian actor Amr Waked announced to fans through Twitter that he will make an appearance in the Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.
At the point, the 46-year-old actor is no stranger to Hollywood, as he has alongside big names like Emily Blunt, Scarlett Johansson, Kate Winslet and Matt Damon to name a few. Moreover, the Egyptian was part of critically acclaimed film, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, which was nominated for three Golden Globes.
But, it seems now, like the Amr is breaking into the blockbuster superhero universe, with a role in the much anticipated second part to Wonder Woman. He broke the news on his official Twitter account, where here wrote: “Wait for my appearance in the superhero film 1984 (Part II), directed by Patty Jenkins.”

Amr’s tweet was vague, as he did not specify to fans what role he will be playing in the film. Furthermore, the actor is not listed among the film’s cast on IMBD. Core cast like Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright are set to reprise their roles from the first part. However, the sequel has announced new characters played by Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal and Bridesmaids actress Kristen Wiig.

Even though we do not know what his role will entail, Amr has previously proven his action movie skills in Lucy, where he played the role of a French police captain, starring alongside Scarlett Johansson. In the second part of Wonder Woman, fans will follow Diana Prince, Amazon princess and warrior, during the Cold War, where she comes up against a villainess by the name of Cheetah.

Currently, Amr is shooting the second season of Ramy, a Hulu comedy-drama which follows a first-generation American Muslim who is on a spiritual journey in his politically divided New Jersey neighborhood.
