It’s officially stuck in our head!
About a year ago, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas sent social media into a frenzy, when they announced their relationship. After a whirlwind romance, and despite their age gap, the two tied the knot in December in an extravagant wedding in India, which included four receptions.
Now, six months later, and we still can’t get enough of them. The Bollywood beauty and her singer husband have turning heads in every appearance and we can’t help but fall in love with them more. On the first of March, Nick and his brothers, Joe and Kevin, made their comeback as the Jonas Brothers, surprising their fans with the release of their first single in six years, Sucker. The song was a huge success, making it to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100.
Sucker was followed by a colourful music video, which featured the Jonas Sisters: Priyanka, Sophie Turner (Joe’s wife) and Daniella Jonas (Kevin’s wife). It was followed by another single, Cool, which then led to the release of the band’s fifth studio album, Happiness Begins, which dropped on June 7. The brothers spoke to Apple Music in honour of their comeback album, and Nick revealed that fourth track, I Believe, is dedicated to his wife.
“We listened to it a lot on your bachelor party,” Joe added of the song. “It sounds even better by the beach.”
In the romance-filled song, Nick address the criticism that he and Priyanka faced, when they announced their engagement just two months of dating. He sings about sticking with someone forever and blocking out the public noise about their relationship.
“Every night, every day; how about every lifetime?/ Yeah, I know what they say, and that’s fine/ ‘Cause I’m here to stay through the good and the bad times/ Babe, you send me to space and you’re mine, yeah. Well, call me crazy/ And people saying that we move too fast/ But I’ve been waiting, and for a reason/ Ain’t no turning back,” the song continues.
