Emirates Woman’s Digital News Editors, Fatma Abuseif and Diyana Hakmi take us on the road in Honda’s new HR-V

8:30 am – Today we’re running errands in Honda’s new red-hot HR-V. The stylish car comes in three different grades, including 17″ alloys in the LX and EX grade. The grille is rendered in a slick dark chrome and extends over the new projector style headlights. The sporty front bumper shouts elegant but tough. (Just like us.) We’ll be cruising the stylish car from the office to the mall and then to the beach. But first, coffee!

9:00 am -A quick stop at the drive thru to fuel up on that much needed caffeine. Honda’s large cupholders centered in the middle of the front seats, means there’s no chance of spillage and are super easy to reach. The luxurious light beige fabric and leather seats mean that even in mid-summer this car will always keep its cool. They’re also super comfy too.

11:00 am – Next stop, we head to the mall to pick up samples for a photoshoot. The super spacious boot has space aplenty for our sample boxes, and the 2nd row ‘magic seats’ means there is even more space for shopping bags or even a bicycle. The 60:40 ingenious split rear seats dive down to the floor, making a large space or tip up to allow for sideways loading.

1:00 pm – A quick make-up touch-up before we head to the beach. We managed to fit both our makeup bags in the roomy glove compartment. The fold down mirrors also include an elastic strap, perfect for storing our sunnies. We hit the panoramic sunroof button, which slides all the way back, ready for our beach adventure.

3:00 pm – We blast up the car playlist on the sleek and easy-to-use dashboard. The 6.8 inch Display Audio with Touchscreen (LX and EX Grades) include USB and HDMI ports allowing us to connect our smart phones to play the music and make calls from our phonebook. The multifunction steering wheel means its easy to change channels while driving. The HR-V EX Grade even features automatic climate control meaning we can adjust the temperature with the touch of a button.

5:00 pm – We end our day on the beach. Parking is easy – sensors and an electric handbrake means we can park quick and easily and head to the sea. Our verdict: This is a car that not only looks good, it feels luxurious. It’s a well-thought out car and is designed with all the must-have features a millennial could ever need.
