Here are five insta-worthy hotels opening in Dubai in 2019
After months of waiting, the first ever Mandarin Oriental in Dubai is open and it’s every bit as spectacular as we have anticipated.
Let’s start with the rooms – 178 of them as well as 78 suites – all decorated in a contemporary and slick style with some Middle Eastern accents, offering plenty of natural light with impressive views.
Understated luxury is at the core of interior design seen through the communal spaces, including six restaurants offering an array of cuisines
Tasca is serving up Portuguese cuisine from a two Michelin-star chef Jose Avillez, and at Netsu you can indulge in Japanese grill. There’s also a brasserie called The Bay, Noor lounge for a casual meeting spot, Sun Vibe by the pool perfectly located for sundowners and – the one we are most excited about – the Mandarin Cake Shop. Don’t worry, you can work off the pastries at their gym.
Need a new place to relax? The hotel is taking over 2,000-square-metre of space for the spa with up to nine treatment rooms.
Looks like we have another worthy candidate for a staycation.
