The diva collapsed onstage during her Dubai concert earlier this year.
Fans of Lebanese pop star Elissa were left in shock after the diva revealed she has spent the last year fighting breast cancer.
The singer shared her journey in the music video for her latest single, Ila Kol Elli Bihebbouni. The seven-minute clip begins by showing Elissa undergoing an MRI scan on December 26, 2017, narrated with poignant voice recordings from the star.
She questions: “You know that moment when you wonder, will I ever see the people I love again? Those who love me back?”
“Is it that moment when it’s all over? You won’t exist tomorrow?”

What you need to know about breast cancer
The 46-year-old describes how she tried to keep her illness a secret from her fans, not letting her treatment affect her busy work schedule.
“I do my radiotherapy session, I go to the studio, I finish another session, I rest for two hours. And to the studio again, once a week going live on TV.”
The video includes footage from Elissa’s Dubai concert in February 2018, where she collapsed during the performance and had to be carried offstage. At the time, the singer told her fans it was “nothing serious”.
Thankfully, Elissa reveals at the end of the video “I’ve recovered, I’ve beaten the illness, and I won.”
“Don’t ignore it, face it,” she warns, noting that early detection of breast cancer can save your life. “Do it not only for yourself, but for your loved ones.”
The video was posted on August 7, and in less than 24 hours has clocked almost three million views on YouTube.
Elissa wrote in an Instagram post: “This music video shouldn’t make you cry. It’s a reason to smile, be happy, and grateful. We can fight cancer if we know about it in early stages. I love you all.”
