The former Victoria’s Secret model opened the show for the Lebanese designer.
Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio landed the coveted opening spot at Zuhair Murad’s show at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
The Lebanese designer presented a collection inspired by Imperial Russia, with plenty of bow-down beautiful gowns that wouldn’t look out of place in a grand ballroom in St. Petersburg.
The original Victoria’s Secret Angel took to the catwalk in an elaborately embroidered dress, with a dramatic cloak and golden tiara adding to the regal look.
She later changed into a sparkling floor-length gown, with exquisite beading detail that almost seemed inspired by the famous Fabergé eggs.

Ambrosio, who retired from Victoria’s Secret after 17 years at the end of 2017, has previously shown appreciation for the Beirut-based designer. When Emirates Woman interviewed the supermodel in Dubai back in 2014, she was wearing one of his designs.
“I love the style out here. A friend of mine gave me an abaya as a present here – it’s so beautiful with all the embroidery on it,” she said.
“I love how they add things like that. I absolutely love it! The women out here are so beautiful too, they have a very sensual look.
Ambrosio also turned to the designer for this year’s Cannes Film Festival, wearing an off-shoulder beaded gown from his Spring 2018 Couture collection.
