The kingdom will get musical to celebrate its females next month.
It made headlines last year when Saudi Arabia held its very first Women’s Day to “celebrate the Saudi woman and her successful role”.
And boy, has a lot changed since then.

The first Women’s Day, held between February 1 and 4 in 2017, featured talks from advocates of a woman’s right to drive, as well as other legal rights for women, including freedom of guardianship.
Twelve months on, women have indeed been granted the right to gain driving licences in a historic royal decree issued in September.
Women now also no longer need the permission of a male guardian to start their own businesses, and they can finally attend matches in three stadiums across the kingdom.
So, to celebrate, Saudi Arabia is hosting its second Women’s Day, which will be marked with a brand-new musical.
An operetta entitled Daughters of Salman will be performed at Riyadh’s King Fahd Cultural Center on March 2 and 3 with a crew of female musicians.
The event is sponsored by Princess Nora bint Mohammed al- Saoud, Al Arabiya reports, and will also feature theatrical performances, seminars poetry, and the screening of a documentary about the history of the kingdom’s women.
Recent changes in Saudi have come as part of Vision 2030, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ambitious post-oil economic plan which aims to make Saudi a more modern, tourist-friendly destination.

As part of the initiative, the government also aims to increase the percentage of women in the nation’s workforce from 23 per cent to 28 per cent by 2020.
Additionally, more Saudi females have been appointed to top jobs, a royal directive allowed women to use certain government services without a male guardian’s consent, and recent approval was issued for the go-ahead of women’s gyms.
