We’re never short of a new place to explore in Dubai. With Al Seef and La Mer opening in 2017, and the Emaar Beachfront on its way, the city is looking pretty great.
Now, though, there’s a new destination ready to go out by Mushrif Park, and we have to say, it’s got a spot of romance to it.

The Yard has been developed by Meraas, the same people who are behind The Beach at JBR, Boxpark and the aforementioned La Mer, so you know they know what they’re doing.
It’s kitted out with a farmer’s market, a bakery, and plenty of murals and walking trails, but our favourite feature is a bridge that spans the area’s lake.
Modelled after the Ponts des Arts bridge in Paris, where couples leave locks decorated with their initials, it’s all about love.
Is this worthy of an 11th spot on our list of places to propose in Dubai? Well, Valentine’s Day isn’t a long way off…
Meraas say the Al Khawaneej spot is a 350,000 square foot extension to Last Exit, and will eventually take up 2.8 million square feet. We’d say that’s more than enough room to stretch your legs.
“The Yard reflects Meraas’s strong commitment to creating imaginative and exciting family-friendly destinations that provide opportunities for Dubai’s residents and visitors to share unforgettable experiences,” Meraas architect Nouf AlMheiri said.
“In line with our vision of connecting communities through the many sectors that we operate in, the destination’s offerings seek to enhance people’s happiness and sense of belonging.”
With food options and shopping promised, we’re thinking it sounds like a pretty ideal afternoon out. Definitely worth checking out, for the Instagram opportunities alone.
