Recommended NStyle polish colour: Head Start
INGREDIENTS
- 2 ½ cups natural oats
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ginger powder
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1½ tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- ¼ cup sliced toasted almonds
- 1/3 cup flaxseed powder
PREPARATION
- Preheat oven to 330 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius).
- In a large bowl, mix together the oats, cinnamon powder, ginger powder, ground nutmeg and salt.
- In another small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, vanilla and vegetable oil. Combine the wet and dry ingredients.
- Get your hands in the bowl and with your fingers mix well so the oat mix is fully sticky with the brown sugar mix.
- Lay mixed contents onto a large baking sheet and bake on lower rack for 20 minutes, regularly checking to make sure nothing burns. After 10 minutes give it a shake and with a wooden spoon mix it up a bit in the baking pan.
- Take out of oven and allow granola to fully cool. This will take approximately 30 minutes.
- Place baked granola in a large bowl and mix the remaining ingredients into granola. Save in a large Tupperware at room temperature and it will last for one week.
