She might have missed out on the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, but the elder Hadid has been keeping busy.
At this stage, Gigi Hadid has more business ventures than we do slightly different shades of red lipstick (we need them all). Fresh off the back of her sellout Maybelline collection, the 22-year-old has launched her second collection of shoes with Stuart Weitzman.
When you’ve done sunglasses, clothes (Tommy x Gigi, anyone?) and fine jewellery, having another go at footwear probably seems like a pretty solid call.

We’re so pleased she has, too, because these new offerings are gorgeous. The line consists of two pairs of point-toed mules, both flat, and both decorated with evil eye symbols. One pair has a single eye on the right foot, and the other has a pattern of smaller eyes on both feet.
The styles are called EYELOVE and EYELOVEMORE, and you can check them out on modaoperandi.com if they look like a bit of you. They’re priced from US$495 (Dhs1,818).
Some of that money goes to support Pencils of Promise, a charity devoted to building schools for children who would not otherwise have access to education.
We’re always pleased to see businesses with a philanthropic element, so this is great stuff. Hadid might not be from the UAE but she’s clearly getting involved with the Year of Giving.
