If there’s one thing that stood out at Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2023 couture show in Paris, it was undoubtedly Doja Cat’s Inferno-inspired look. Created by the talented makeup artist, Pat McGrath, the singer’s over-the-top look was completed with a faille bustier and a hand-knit skirt of lacquered wooden beads, and lastly trompe l’oeil toe boots for the final touch. Encrusted in 30,000 Swarovski crystals, the process reportedly took four hours and 58 minutes to hand-apply. The singer’s hair was covered in a skin-hued cap before the crystals and gold dust were precisely applied to her body.
