Late Iranian painter Farideh Lashai is being honoured by the Sharjah Art Foundation’s latest restrospective exhibition. It features her work from the early 1960s into the 21st century including painting, sculpture multimedia installation, engraved vases and stop motion animation all produced over her immense five decade career. Her work is abstract and contemporary, influenced by her hometown and by her country of Iran with frequent references to literature, art and film throughout.
