Fashion and lifestyle brand s*uce have collaborated with designer dolls brand Dumyé to create #27DRESSES, a charity project to bring joy to orphaned children across the Middle East.
The project will see 27 miniature dolls designed and dressed up from start to finish by a range of regional and international designers. Each designer has been given full control over everything, from the skin tone to the eye colour, and has kitted each doll out in their own unique outfit.
Some of the big name designers include Dubai-based fashion stars including Ayesha Depala, Bleach and House of Nomad, as well as international brands Self Portrait, Marchesa, Alice McCall and more.
With the support of Dubai Tourism, Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, the dolls will also be having their photo taken out and about around Dubai, visiting some of the city’s most iconic locations such as the Dubai Miracle Garden and the Spice Souk, as well as Ziplining (they’re going to need seriously smaller harness), bowling (they’re going to need smaller bowling balls), and hanging out with local celebs.
#27DRESSES is in support of a charity organisation called START, a non-profit that runs art workshops for refugees, orphans and special needs children across the Middle East and India. They hold over 60 different workshops across Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, India, Egypt, Turkey and the UAE, reaching out to over 2,200 children each week.

The idea behind START is that they seek to help, heal and educate children who’ve suffered from war, pain and loss through special workshops which provide them with a safe environment in which they can learn and develop both skills and creativity. It’s a chance for them to be kids again – something which a lot of children haven’t had the privilege of.
Dumyé do a fair bit for charity as a brand, too. Its Dolls With Purpose campaign means that for each doll sold, they donate a doll to an orphaned and vulnerable child.

The #27DRESSES exhibition can be found at The Dubai Mall from March 20 to April 3, with the dolls then being auctioned off on April 6 at a private VIP party in The Annex, Burj Khalifa.
You can buy limited edition prints of the photos at shopatsauce.com, as well as dumye.com from March 20, with all of the proceeds from the sales going to START.
