For a someone who started her skating career later than most professionals, Zahra Lari has already made history as the world’s first figure skater to compete in a hijab.
She is also UAE’s first figure skater to participate in the winter qualifications last year and she lead the UAE to become the first Arab state to join the International Skating Union.
Lari is one of our three cover stars for June and she is inspiring the next generation of athletes to pursue their dreams. Her next goal? To compete in the Beijing 2022 with a group of women to raise the UAE flag for the first time.
