Marking the end of an era, Tom Ford dropped the last collection for his eponymous label — nodding to 13 years of nostalgia shot in 3 videos by Steven Klein.

Famous Ford muses like Amber Valletta, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Karen Elson and Caroline Trentini posed for the couture genius in a sombre yet fashion-forward film.

An image that particularly stands out is the one where models look like they are dressed for mourning — but of course, in quintessential Tom Ford attires.

Last year, the veteran designer sold the brand to Estée Lauder for a whooping $2.8 billion deal (marking its biggest acquisition yet). The current archival collection pays homage to his journey as a designer, with theatrics that only he can bring to the table.

His expansive career spans over three decades. At 61, the ex-chairman of CFDA has helmed several fashion houses (from Gucci to YSL) and redefined their design DNA — creating a blue print for the successors that followed. The ultimate advocate of all things sexy, Tom’s idea of a women’s sexuality was steering the power back in her hands.
