The UAE loves an exhibition, and Zero Nine doesn’t fail to disappoint. From April 6 to 9, the Fujairah-based charity exhibition will be showcasing the talents of Emirati and Middle Eastern businesswomen as they debut a variety of their products, be it food, fashion or interiors, to various gifts and commodities.
Named after the Fujairah area code (09), Zero Nine is all about empowering local female talents by giving them a stage to bring their creativity to the Fujairah people. As well as promoting the work of the women, the event will also include a series of inspirational talks by pioneering businesswomen to give a little inspirational push to new or aspiring entrepreneurs. Talkers include make-up artist Leila Obeid, investment specialist Aisha Saeed Hareb, musician Taif Al Hufaiti and scientist Dr Maryam Matar.

It’s not just an exhibition and series of talks – aside from showing off local talent, Zero Nine also plays a role in drawing attention to a number of charity causes in the region. The money earned from the event is put towards a different charity each year, with the proceeds from this year’s exhibition going towards the Diabetic Patient Friends Group in Fujairah.
Local talents will be showcased at the Zero Nine Exhibition
Last year’s proceeds went towards the Fujairah Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled funding the purchase of equipment for the students’ chocolate factory, with the revenue from the first year going towards the Fujairah Welfare Society, directed towards helping low-income families set up their own businesses.

The event takes place over four days, with the first two days dedicated to women only. Zero Nine has drawn quite the crowd too, with the launch being done in the presence of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum wife of His Higness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, H.H. Sheikha Sarra bint Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, H.H. Sheikha Shamseh bint Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, H.H. Sheikha Madiyah bint Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and a number of other VIPs, businesswomen and influencers. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah will also be visiting on day three.
