Now this is beauty on the go…

We’re all familiar with the conundrum—you’ve got an evening event you just have to look polished for, but no time to slip down to the salon.

However a just-launched new beauty service is set to bring a solution to your door.

Dubai-based company Blowout&Go has teamed up with ridesharing firm Uber to offer a door-to-door hairstyling service.

The bgX app, which can be downloaded on the Apple and Google Play stores in London, promises to ferry a stylist to your home (or hotel or office, depending on where you are).

The service currently only offers on-demand blow dries and hair styling, and will be rolled out in Paris and Dubai in the very near future, according to a press release.

“Nowadays customers are demanding immediate services via their mobile apps and there is a huge demand for beauty services to be delivered in this way,” said BlowOut&Go founder Paria Ghorashi.

“Customers will be able to book a stylist to their home or office directly from their smartphone. The platform will provide a convenient and fast service for busy people on the go.”

The app claims customers could get a stylist Uber-ed to their door in as little as 20 minutes, and blow-dries have a fixed price of £65 (Dhs331), which includes the stylist’s travel costs.

Only premium salons will work with the service, according to bgX, and Balmain Paris Hair Couture will provide products.

Like Uber rides, there’ll also be a rating service, so customers can give feedback on their stylist.
