Dubai is synonymous with extravagance, so it is probably no surprise that the city is now home to the most expensive shoes in the world.

The new stilettos are made out of solid gold and feature 236 diamonds including a D-flawless 15-carat diamond on the toe of each shoe. The gold heels were created by Jada Dubai in collaboration with Dubai’s Passion Jewellers, and will be on display at (where else?) the world’s only seven-star hotel – the Burj Al Arab.
To get your hands on the pair, they will reportedly set you back a neat AED 62.4m. If you fancy a spot of window shopping, the shoes will be on display at the hotel from 5pm September 26. Three other pairs from Jada Dubai will also be exhibited, each adorned with rubies, gold, pearls and diamonds.
The Jada Dubai ruby stilettos feature a red bow and diamond clasp, and are available for around AED 99,000.
The peach diamond pearl sandals feature a faux flower complete with diamond tassel and open toe and will set you back around AED 92,000.
The diamond and gold stilettos feature a beaded flower design with diamonds woven into the pattern, and are available for approximately AED 63,000.
