The Bollywood icon is bringing so much power-dressing inspiration to the table.
She might be guest-starring on Project Runway Middle East, but it’s Sonam Kapoor’s own style hits that we’re fixated by.
The Bollywood star, who appeared as a judge on the MBC4 series this week, donned a romantic tulle Elie Saab midi for her TV appearance—but when we scrolled back through her Instagram, it turns out Kapoor’s been on a real sartorial roll of late.

How to do Dubai like fashionista Hadia Ghaleb
The Neerja actress, who was in Dubai earlier in December for the Dubai International Film Festival, has been pulling out show-stopping gown after show-stopping gown for red carpet events and awards shows.
However the 32-year-old has also been dipping into more tailored pieces, providing us with several office-ready ensembles we’re planning on copying for the new season.
So, with no further ado, we’ve pulled together the most noteworthy looks from the Mumbai-born star from the last few weeks…
Cream of the crop
Kapoor stepped out at DIFF’s opening gala in a monochromatic number by Lebanese label Ashi Studio. The Spring/Summer 2018 creation featured a structured bodice flowing into an ethereal skirt, paired with a long-length blazer worn nonchalantly over the shoulders (we reckon this’d make a directional bridal look for modern weddings).
Blaze a trail
The actress sported a strapless number by Ralph & Russo for DIFF’s IWC Filmmaker Awards, finished with decadent embroidery. We adore how the figure-skimming midi is balanced with a sweeping train and oversized bow.
All that glitters
This fully embellished gown by Tarun Tahiliani is positively dripping in fairytale magic, with its ornate beadwork, gossamer-thin layers and expert ombré detailing.
Back to black
Hello, power suit of our dreams. This Jacquemus two-piece brings together artful tailoring and avant-garde pleating for a finish that feels contemporary yet still utterly wearable.
Fine print
This Rajesh Pratap Singh ensemble offers a masterclass in how to effortlessly mix prints with finesse.
The Midas touch
Kapoor almost looks like an Academy Award come to life in this golden Atelier Zuhra (and we means that as the highest of compliments). Sprinkled with metallic shards, this structured gown perfectly blends a fierceness with a feminine fluidity.
On the dot
Eighties proportions get a modern reworking in George Keburia’s polka-dot blouse. The retro puffed sleeves, peplum and open collar give a sartorial nod to the decade, without feeling too overbaked.
Colour pop
The vibrant hues of Neeru’s classic sari ensure Kapoor would be the best-dressed wedding guest at any nuptials.
Bolt from the blue
This colour-blocked co-ord brings together a boardroom-appropriate silhouette with utilitarian denim, for a truly of-the-moment effect.
Take a bow
This delicate Elie Saab midi, resplendent with its froths of tulle, is imbued with a Gothic romance.

With flying colours
Baby pink, bold red and lemon yellow doesn’t sound like a winning combination on paper… but Kapoor disproves that theory in this Zoe Champion ensemble.
