Whether you’re thinking full glam or low key, we have ideas.
It only makes sense that with all that out of the way, we’d turn to beauty.
Join us for a look at some potential Valentine’s Day makeup looks from a few of the region’s top makeup artists.
Even if you’re in the anti-Valentine’s camp, these ideas are multi-purpose.
This shot, from a Dior shoot in the September 2017 issue of Emirates Woman, could very easily work for a Valentine’s celebration. With glowing skin, fluffy brows and a matte brown-red lip, Drugan strikes the perfect balance between natural and done-up.
Clean eyes and a red lip is always going to be a sophisticated look.
For a more amped-up look, turn to Kattan. The Dubai beauty entrepreneur has gone for a contoured, peachy look with a glossy lip.
Kattan told Into the Gloss last year that her signature style is all about layering products so they really stay, so you can bet there’s a lot going on here.
You can’t deny the romance of a soft smokey eye and big lashes.
If you’re over a red lip, why not try a red eye? As Jacobs ably demonstrates, it can be just as arresting and gorgeous.
Balanced with full brows and natural lip gloss, it’s a directional look, but one that fits the theme. Particularly lovely on deeper skin tones.
We love this expertly blended smokey eye with a burgundy lip. Shahco has added wispy lashes a pop of highlighter to great effect.
Think of this as the ‘everyday but better’ makeup for when you want to look like yourself, but still feel a bit special.
We’ve often tried to recreate this kind of blended-out winged eyeshadow, and never quite nailed it. Maybe this Valentine’s Day is the day we get it right.
Ali’s defined brows, strong highlight and glossy lips finish the look.
