Planning your next getaway? Here’s one to consider…

UAE residents can now travel to Azerbaijan without having to apply for a visa in advance, it has been announced.

As of July 26, anyone with valid residency in the UAE can obtain a one-month tourist visa on arrival. Previously, visitors from the UAE needed to obtain a visa at the embassy or the consulate-general of Azerbaijan, Gulf Business reports.

The only catch is if you want to stay in the country for more than 15 days, you’ll still need to register with the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan (but your hotel can help you out with this when you arrive).
