Time to bid 2018 goodbye
UAE has officially announced New Year’s day a public holiday. Both public and private sectors will have Tuesday January 1 off, with work resuming on Wednesday January 2 as per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority also announced that all paid parking zones across Dubai will be free of charge on January 1, in celebration of the New Year. However, multi-level car parks will not be free.
The official list of public holidays for 2019 hasn’t been released yet, but the next holiday that residents can expect will probably be on April 3 to celebrate Isra Wal Miraj, though this is subject to the Moon sighting.
